Founded in 2009, Westward IT has grown steadily to become the preferred supplier of IT products and services to companies across Devon, North Cornwall and West Somerset.
Having firstly acquired the client base of Southern and West Solutions in August 2012, another Devon-based consultancy – BlueWave IT services – transferred its’ client base to Westward IT in December 2012 and continual organic growth through to the present day has resulted in Westward IT now being recognised as the premier supplier to over 100 business, educational and charitable organisations across the South West.
Mike Machin started his professional career as an in-store technical manager for a major retailer before moving to a precision engineering firm. Latterly Mike played a key role in IT for a UK based glass manufacturer which included work as a software engineer working on manufacturing production systems.
Mat Lemmings After starting his career as a technology journalist in London, Mat moved in to full-time IT 24 years ago, initially working as a networking engineer within print media. Having fulfilled many IT consultancy and management roles for companies such as Newbury Data, Coca-Cola Schweppes, Norsk Data, Oracle and the JLI group, Mat relocated to North Devon in 1999 where, in addition to working with Westward IT, he continues to work as an IT and management consultant.
Sam Lake Sam started work as a technical support analyst in 1999 and most recently served as IT manager for one of the leading security companies in the South West. He continues to deliver both on-site and remote support services to clients, specialising in Windows Server networks and is our lead consultant for wide area networking and Wireless LAN deployments.
Helen Burridge is the company’s finance director, with responsibility for all financial, administrative and personnel issues. Helen was most recently group company secretary at Dartington Crystal.
Michael Vincent Prior to joining us in October 2014, Michael was formerly IT Manager at Let’s Go Travel delivering rapid response break-and-fix services to the company nationwide in addition to the design, implementation and management of their LAN and WAN installations. Prior to Let’s Go, Michael worked as an IT support engineer in Mid-Devon looking after many SME clients.
In addition to our full time staff, we engage a number of consultants who work with us on a project-by-project basis, enhancing our core skills and providing specialist advice and guidance in areas such as data encryption and security, VoIP, e-Commerce, payment processing and CCTV systems.
